Are there extra charges or tariffs when ordering rugs online?
Yes, depending on your country of residence, you may encounter import duties or tariffs. These charges are set by your local customs authority and are paid directly by you when your rug is delivered.
From our experience, these charges typically range from approximately $10 to $50, but this is not limited—each local customs agent may calculate tariffs differently. At RCD, we always inform customers before confirming an order, so there are no surprises.
How does Rich Class Decor handle tariffs?
We do not include tariffs in our pricing, as rules vary by country. Instead, we focus on full transparency:
- The price you see is for the product only.
- Any tariffs are charged separately by your country.
- Customers receive a receipt for all payments made upon delivery.
Most customers appreciate our upfront approach and understanding that tariffs are unavoidable in international shipping.
Where does Rich Class Decor ship?
We ship handmade rugs worldwide. For Canadian customers, there are no tariffs. For international orders, we use DHL Express, USPS, or Canada Post, depending on the destination. (NOTE: If Order is disptached from Indisde Canada only)
Even for large or custom-made rugs shipped from our production facility in India, we make sure your rug arrives safely and quickly.
How long does delivery take?
- Within Canada: Usually 1–5 business days.
- United States: 5–10 business days via USPS or DHL.
- International (from India or Canada): Typically 7–10 business days with DHL Express.

How do customers track their rug?
When your order is fulfilled, you automatically receive a notification with your tracking number. You can use this number to check your package in real-time with the delivery carrier.
For example, if your rug ships via DHL Express, you can log in using your airway bill number and see exactly where your package is at every stage. In case you have any further questions we are here to help 24/7.
What if a customer refuses to pay tariffs?
As a small business, we strive to be both competitive and completely transparent. That’s why we now offer free shipping on orders over $299 USD — so you don’t have to worry about shipping costs. Please note that tariffs or import duties are beyond our control.
If you are not comfortable paying tariffs, please do not place an order with us.
If a rug is returned because tariffs were not paid, we deduct any charges incurred to return the rug from your refund. This ensures a fair policy while allowing us to continue offering high-quality, handmade rugs and reliable shipping.
Do custom-made rugs have different timelines or tariff rules?
Custom rugs, such as our handmade affirmation rugs, may require 2–3 weeks to produce, depending on the size and complexity. Tariff rules remain the same, and we keep you updated throughout production and shipping.
